Last winter lacked a little in the snow department, but El Nino is long gone and we can't wait for the return of winter! Last February we got a sneak preview of the 2017 skis at our Demo Days up in Vermont, where we tested every single model to determine which skis our customers would love the most. These new skis are officially ready and waiting on our sales floor, and we've put together a quick overview of the ones we are most excited about. It't time to start planning your winter adventures--we'll see you at the mountain!
Nordica Enforcer 93
This is a brand new men's ski not only for our shop, but for Nordica. It makes for an excellent all-mountain ski and is both stable and maneuverable at any speed. It has won numerous awards from various ski magazines, including #3 overall ski for its waist width category.
Stockli Laser AX
We are proud to be one of only a few Stockli dealers in all of New England! This ski is a wonderful frontside option. It includes a new technology called Turtle Shell, which allows the skis to actually become stiffer at higher speeds and hold an edge better when more energy is applied. The Laser AX won Tester's Choice in Skier Magazine.
After testing these skis at our Demo Days last February, our staff reached the unanimous conclusion that these were the best budget-friendly skis any of us have ever skied! They are a great option for the intermediate to expert level skier.
K2 Alluvit 88
These lightweight, all-mountain skis perform like champs in any condition. They are wider in the shovel, making them great for powder skiing, but they are narrow enough for quick and easy turning.
Head Absolute Joy
These women's skis are made with graphene, a material that is said to be the strongest, lightest, and thinnest material around. They have medium flex, making it easy to initiate a turn at slow speeds while remaining very stable at high speeds. This is a system ski, which means they come with the bindings.
Blizzard Quattro 7.4 CA
These women's skis are made with Blizzard's signature Flipcore construction, meaning that rocker is built into the mold. They are light and lively, great for intermediate to advanced skiers, and are also system skis.
