MAY

18th- 28th -- Thule Sale:  Get your car equipped for spring riding season. From bike racks to boxes, backpacks, strollers and more, all Thule product will be on sale at 20% off. 

 

JUNE

3rd -- TriRidgefield:   A triathlon in our backyard, the TriRidgefield is a local triathlon including a 1/2 mile swim, 12.75mi bike ride, and 3.1mi run. There will be post-event prizes for top 3 male & female finishers, as well as complementary breakfast sandwiches, Prime Taco, coffee, and more.

10th -- SoundCyclists x Outdoor Sports Center Inaugural Ride:   We've teamed up with SoundCyclists Bicycle Club to offer B-, C+, and C rides led by staff and friends to introduce riders to the store and to the club. This ride will leave from the store parking lot at 8:00am, so be there at 7:45am sharp. Check our blog post to see what you'll need and for more details. These rides are FREE and open to the public, but it's definitely worth becoming a member. Sound Cyclists is a very active member-run bicycle club in Fairfield County, Connecticut. An annual household membership ($25) provides access to a packed schedule of group rides from beginner to expert levels that cater to the casual and the avid cyclist. Rides cover scenic Fairfield County and the adjoining areas, in addition to occasional multi-day out-of-state rides. Club routes are available to members both via the RidewithGPS club account and as detailed cue sheets downloadable from the extensive club library.

13th -- Public Star Party:   See a side of the outdoors you normally may not be ale to. The Westport Astronomical Society is holding a public star viewing night at the observatory at 182 Bayberry Lane in Westport. Plus, it's a new moon that night, which means the stars will be brighter than ever for your viewing pleasure.

18th -- Rowayton Fun Run:   The Rowayton fun run is a 2.2/4.4mi run with prizes and chilly refreshments after the race. The beautiful USATF course runs through downtown Rowayton and Bell's Island. Bring the kids and do the short course, or surround yourself with others on the long loop. This race is "super laid-back and low-key," so runners of any level are welcome.

30th -- Forbidden Forest Ultra Run:   This run is for those who want to test themselves. This 2.2 mile trail loop in the Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, CT will be home to the Forbidden Forest Ultra Run, which is a 30 hour continuous event in 25, 50, 75, and 100 mile categories. Challenge yourself and sign up today.

 

JULY

2nd -- Women's Monday Night Climb @ Rock Climb Fairfield  Rock Climb Fairfield is offering a weekly Monday night ladies only climb. This is an awesome chance for those independent women climbers to get out there and meet each other. Rock Climb Fairfield has awesome facilities and is welcome to all climbers, novice or expert.

19th-22nd -- Sidewalk Sale:  Don't miss a chance to save on skis, snowboards, helmets, and boots during the off season. This is the perfect time for our staff to sit down and fit you in the proper gear for your ability level at great discounts. We have tons of winter jackets, snow pants, hats, gloves and more from your all favorite brands. As well as great everyday styles for spring and fall. AUGUST

4th -- Southwest Cafe Margarita Run:   Who wouldn't want a nice cool drink on a hot day? Well... this one you have to earn. The Southwest Cafe in Ridgefield is giving out one free margarita to all those (over 21) who finish the 5k race. Those under 21 can have a soft drink, and all proceeds from the race support the Sunrise Cottage.

 

OCTOBER

20th -- SoNo Half Marathon/5k:  Join us in running the 5th annual SoNo Half Marathon, 5K and Kids Fun Run, taking place on Saturday, October 20th, 2018. Enjoy a unique and exciting course through historic South Norwalk, along beautiful coastline, down charming picturesque treelined streets and past many of Norwalk's notable landmarks and attractions. Then, celebrate your finish with a beer and some food post race.
